John joined Duncan & Craig in July 2010 and is carrying on general practice as an articling student out of the office in Drayton Valley, Alberta.
He grew up in Lloydminster, Alberta/Saskatchewan before moving to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta. At the U of A, John received a Bachelor of Education (with distinction). With his Education degree, John went to South Korea to teach English as a second language. After completing his contract in South Korea, John returned to the University of Alberta and received his Bachelor of Laws in 2010. In Law School, John was a part of the team that won the 2009 Alberta Court of Appeal Moot Court Competition. John also volunteered for Student Legal Services of Edmonton in the civil, family, criminal, and legal education projects. Through Student Legal Services of Edmonton John offered legal information and services to the low income community of Edmonton and took on a leadership role within the civil/family law projects. In his spare time, John helped to write and direct the University of Alberta Law Show (a comedic play put on by law students that raises money for local charities every year).
